National Levels 1 (Proficiency Awards) Bronze Certificate
The proficiency award developmental program focuses on physical ability and skill preparation. it is a program designed to measure the progress of young gymnasts towards the level 1 competitive stream.
These athletes will train a minimum of 1-2 hours a week.
Although not compulsory they can compete in club, at local invitational competitions as well as trials level 1 competition.
National Levels 1 & 2 (Proficiency Awards) Silver & Gold Certificate
The national stream program is for gymnasts’ based on age or ability (7 years+) who demonstrate ability for the sport of gymnastics.
These athletes will train a minimum of 3-5 hours a week split into two sessions. They can compete at club, invitational’s national stream events and carnivals
The national levels program 2-3 is designed for gymnasts’ who demonstrate above average ability for the sport of gymnastics. These athletes will train a minimum of 4.5 hours per week. They will compete at invitational competitions, regional’s and trials for state championships.
JD 1 -(Girls 4 years + or on ability-By selection/trial only)
Junior Development 1 is a program intended for those gymnasts showing an above average ability and desire towards gymnastics.
The focus of this program is on physical ability development along with the development of strong, technically correct gymnastics.
This class is 3 hours per week split between two sessions, following the Varsity Gymnastics Proficiency Awards level 8-1 and National levels programs.
Gymnasts work towards national level badge 1 working towards local, regional and state competitions, and possibly an international stream pathway (i.e AIS selection)
JD 2- (Girls 6 years + or ability-By selection/trial only)
Junior Development 2 is a program intended for those gymnasts have shown an above average ability and desire towards gymnastics and have achieved their level 1 national accreditation.
The focus of this program is on physical ability development along with the development of strong, technically correct gymnastics.
This class is a minimum of 4.5 hours per week split between two sessions.
Gymnasts work towards national level badge 2-3, for local, regional and state and national competitions, and possibly an international stream pathway (i.e. AIS Clinics, QAS Clinics)
JD 2 is designed for those gymnasts who have demonstrated exceptional talent in gymnastics as well as other qualities, which may include: age, ability, body type, determination, flexibility, and competitive drive.
Gymnasts are identified from the Varsity Gymnastics Proficiecny award program or have completed their JD 1 program.
