Proficiency

Description:  Gym4all     MAG

Recreation Ages 5 +

This recreational development program, allows kids to expand on their skills starting at a beginner level and working towards intermediate of skill acquisition (levels).

Children must be 5 years+ of age to participate, and class placement is based by both ability and age.

It focuses on the fundamentals of gymnastics while incorporating fitness and fun.

There are 8 proficiency awards to achieve of approximately 20-30 different skills in each level.

Program skills have been selected to ensure a clear progression from one skill acquisition to the next, leading to the key skills that are contained in the National Levels circuit Bronze medal 1.

The key skills in this program can be considered "building blocks" for more intermediate gymnastics, but can also stand alone as excellent recreational level skills.

Coaches will complete progress reports/tests to indicate which skills the gymnast has “Attempted”, those they are still "Learning" and which he/she has "Mastered".

A participant has completed a Varsity Gymnastics proficiency award certificate when he/she has "mastered" each skill in that level. Some certificates may take several terms to complete dependant upon the individual gymnast.

IMPORTANT: All students must have completed the previous certificate/badge

Class minimum number of participants = 5 for class to be conducted
